Led by stories and characters of the area, the artwork is inspired by the romanticism of Dickensian Soho. As a nod to the goldbeaters who once occupied the area, the final piece is a fourteen-meter ‘Ribbon of Gold’, which dips in and out of the walls. Inscribed into the metal, is prose taken from the Dickens novel ‘A Tale of Two Cities’, which sets the tone for the building as a place of solace.
