Hyatt Place London City East, formally known as Black Lion House is a 93,882 sq ft hotel located in the heart of Whitechapel and a few minutes’ walk from Aldgate East Station.

The property was acquired by Resolution Property 2015 as offices, before Resolution identified an opportunity to reposition the offices into a 280-bed hotel scheme, with the project commencing in 2020 and completing in June 2021.

With the support of Berkeley Capital Group, Dexter Moren Associates and Galliford Try Building Ltd, Resolution delivered a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certified hotel. In addition to the hotel, guests benefit from an onsite gym, a Sicilian restaurant called ‘Zoom’ as well as a roof terrace called ‘Pocket Square’ with unrivalled views over East London.
